A wisp of nature, renowned for a power to restore souls, Shandelzare appears ethereal, boiling in an exotic flames that seems to heal the nature. It hides under the dark, protecting the Forest of the Song, a small remnant of the once glorious Darnassus.

Searching for Lifestream

Aneh kept a tight reign on her Chocobo. This path felt eerie, and she didn't want the beast getting spooked. She kept her eyes peeled as she climbed higher up the mountain path. A loud buzzing came roaring down upon her from behind. Aneh turned her head just in time to tumble off her mount. A giant bug had nearly taken her head off. Aneh closed her eyes, trying to communicate with the creature. All she felt was territorial aggression. Aneh watched the giant mosquito like creature circle overhead and come down for another swoop.
'SHIT' she thought, diving away once more. Aneh scrambled to her feet and uttered words of nature, calling on the mass of insects around her, hoping this would work. She had never encountered such a beast before! The mass of insects formed a black swirling vortex around Aneh. She shot her hands out towards the giant mosquito, urging her friends to attack it. She watched as the creature was devoured in mid-flight and felt a moment of panic as she hastily brushed herself off. She should have brought a team member. What was she thinking? She looked down at herself making sure she was in working order.
She looked around for her Chocobo and was frustrated to find the beast to have abandoned her. She was just having a general bad day. Whatever. Determined to go farther, Aneh uttered words of invisibility, fading herself out of view before trudging farther up the mountain path, being careful to go around any further native beasts she found along the way. She had heard there were places among these mountains where you could literally see the lifestream erupting in springs directly from the ground. If she could monitor that, maybe get a feel for it, she could further her research. With this thought in mind, Aneh entered a cave opening that led into the mountain, watching her step. It was close, she could feel it, like a pulse.

A Mass Demonstration of Sorts

Arcturus Mengsk, newly appointed and elected minister of the Vectorian Empire takes the stage. He takes a deep breath and clears his throat before he addresses the millions of Magitek Soldiers and Vectorian nobles in front of him. "Hear ye all, and lo and behold, our latest invention!" Arcturus says with pride, while unvealing from behind a luscious purple curtain, a machine of some sort, with pipes and various instruments running in and out of its machinery.

"I know, that you people of Vector, have a rich acquired taste, and because of the richness and vastness of our Empire, this acquired taste of yours will be met!" said Arcturus, his face almost in disbelief. "But fear not, for the Elected of Vector has heard your cries." Arcturus takes a few steps towards the machine and turns his back towards the crowd, and from his pocket, he pulls a jar, containing three little espers, dressed in red. Previously knights to a false cause, abandoned and left to rot perhaps also by their  aimless Esper leader knight. Arcturus grins as he puts his hands in the jar and grabs all three Espers at once, and shoved them into a pipe in the machinery.

Arcturus then presses a button. The machine starts hissing and pumping, and gears and metal begin moving, the three espers can be seen in fear from a see-through glass, as gears come closer and squash and minced them, with their flesh tearing from their skull and bones which already started cracking, their glowing hued blood, begin trickling down into a compartment, which fills a small champagne glass. Arcturus takes the glass, cheers the crowd, drinks it. And lifts the cup into the air. "It is good. Just like how it used to be." And the crowd gave a bellowing cheer.

Of Foolish Threats and Bandits

The rain was thick today. Thunder and lightning flash and booms across the skies. Amidst the chaos in the skies, there were more activities on the ground. Laid out across an empty plane are hundreds of tents, set out, stretched as far as the eyes can see. The tents were majestic purpled in color, baring the mark and symbols of the Magitek Army and Vectorian Empire.

In the middle of the tents, lays the biggest tent. Inside, Lord Xeptimus was sitting by a fire, the thick and rich material of the tent almost cushioned out the entire sound of thunder happening outside. Arcturus was in a dark corner of  the room, smoking his favourite pipeweed, made from the Realm's finest hemps and Esper crystals harvested from their tears.  Although not in battle, Xeptimus and Arcturus were in their armored MagiTek infused battle suits. As if, they know, that battle lurks just around the corner.

And today, they just might be right.

A Vectorian Footsoldier enters the tent, decked out in a plate suit with golden MagiTek symbols giving it an emenating purplish glow. "Lord Xeptimus, news from the Fortress. It came directly from "him"."

Lord Xeptimus took the letter and unfold it, as he reads it, a grin forms on his face. "Arcturus, resound the war cry, ask Shandelzare, Serth and Saigon to rally their troops and meet with us in battle. It is time to wipe up these bandits known as the Radiant Hearts as soon as possible. Their threats are empty, but they are annoying. And "He" has gave us permission to do so."

Arcturus nodded, and a grin too, formed on his face..
