Log: 18082013 - Ror and Aneh

OOC commentary: A piece of roleplay Ror and Aneh worked towards: the birth of the DAQ. Part of this roleplay was written about in RP notes, but not all of it.

Aneh bites her lower lip for a moment, wathing as the wizards chant their spells. She reaches a hand out to place it on the cheek of the metalic suit and her mind reaches out, searching for some spark from the soon to be being in front of her.

Daq lies on a reinforced lab table, that is strong enough to carry his weight and long enough to support the full size of the armour.
Daq is brimming with magical energy.... but that's it...

Aneh frowns a bit as she senses nothing and looks to her team, each one in turn. She looks back down to the suit and leans over it, placing a hand on the stone where the heart should be.
Aneh closes her eyes and murmers soft spoken words of magic and music and life, matching her rhythm to those of her wizards. Her minds falls into a state of meditation as she taps into the part of herself that is connected with nature.

Daq remains silent despite Aneh's efforts, as the magic soaks into the armour and the mechanics within.

Aneh opens her eyes, which glow with the affects of her past work with the materia stones. Her mind reaches out, searching searching. She allows her essence to flow, linking with the materia again as she flows along the connections.
Aneh reaches out with her mind, searching for what she thought she felt before during the processes, mingling her own life essence with the flow of the material. 'I know you are there, I know you want to live....'

Daq is still motionless and lifeless as magic is poured in. The suit is almost saturated now and starts to tremble as magic starts to pulse at the heart stone.

You say [OOC] 'Support Lich: I think we better keep our distance... *steps backward a few feet*'

Aneh breaks out in a sweat that trickles down her forehead, and cheek, across her jaw bone to drip down to the suit she leans over. She becomes aware of her liches stepping away but continues her work, allowing her energy to flow and her mind to search.
Aneh ... Atear joins her sweat as her feels the pulsing at the stone.

Daq trembles more and the lab table cracks. The pulsating fastens as magical currents start to stream between the different stones. And as it does, the sound of moving clockwork accompanies it... the fingers on the right gauntlet move.

Aneh gives a slight cry as she feels and hears it all. She gives one last push to it all, yelling out for her team to get back. She braces herself to pull back, but hangs on for just a moment longer, bringing it to the verge.

Daq digs with the metal fingers into the lab table as electricity crackle as some of the makou burners in the lab burn out. The makou clock starts to tremble as well as its magical power is drained away by.... something awakening inside the suit...

You say [OOC] 'One of the liches pulls Aneh away forcefully while the remainder erect a magical barrier that falls apart as soon as its erected...'

Aneh gasps for air as she is torn away away by the lich. Her heart thunders in her chest as she watches what unfolds.

Daq roars 'nnnnRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRR' and dark red light streams out from all cracks and crevices in the armour, pouring out and under the helmet. One of the liches screams as its magical power is pulled from it.... sucked away... the body starts to crumble to dust and the remainder of the assistants are panicking and fleeing towards the exit, dragging Aneh away with them.

Aneh stares wide eyed as the lich is drained, speachless as she is pulled. Finally her mind kicks into gear and she yells, belatedly for her team to get out, folliwng behind them in a rush, no longer needing their urging to do so.

Upstairs in Ror's office, Ror looks up at the ceiling and says 'What the...' as the makou light starts to flicker for a few seconds before normalizing.

Daq roars and raises up, now sitting on the lab table, digging the fingers into the table with ease. The laboratory is shaking along as then, suddenly, the tremendous amount of energy that build up is freed with a shockwave explosion.
Daq remains seated on the table however, and the light within the armour turns from red to green, gently pulsating.

Aneh closes the laboratory door just as the shockwave hits it. The door is thrown open again and Aneh is tossed back with the force. One of the wizards is thrown into a table in the next laboratory room. Aneh brings herself to her feet slowly, looking inside the now doorless doorway as her whole body shakes.

Upstairs, in Ror's office, Ror jumped from his seat and ran out of his office as he sensed Aneh's fear, followed by a rocking of the building. (On his way to the laboratory)

Daq sits quietly and motionless in the middle of a wrecked laboratory

Aneh stares inside the laboratory through the ruined doorway. She brings a hand up to her head and wipes away a small trickle of blood from some cut there. She numbly pushes her way to her feet, eyes still on the table inside the next room. She feels Ror's presence as he grows closer and she attempts to pull herself together, eyes still never leaving the table.

Before Ror arrives his mental thoughts already enquire about Aneh's and their child's well-being.

Aneh reaches out her mind to Ror, assuring him of her safety, and the safety of their child. She then turns her thoughts to the being inside the room. A sense of wonder comes over her even as she still shakes. Deciding it best to wait for Ror, she doesn't enter the room yet.

Ror arrives, followed by Tripower guards, and he swiftly places himself and them between the laboratory and the research team. He embraces his fiancee and hugs her. He points at a few guards, 'You, you, you and you. Get these people to safety.

The remaining research team and wounded people are evacuated from the laboratory.

Aneh wraps her arms around Ror and allows herself to feel secure for a moment or two. She watches Ror take control, peeking around him into the laboratory where you resides currently, her curiosity building as she waits patiently.

Ror asks, 'What happened?'

Aneh takes a deep breath and puts a hand on Ror's arm. 'Well I hope life happened... Look...' She leans over to look past Ror, into the other laboratory room, urging him to turn and look as well.

Ror says dryly, 'I see a destroyed laboratory, not to mentioned scared and wounded people...and a giant armour that...' he falls silent.

Daq moves its left arm up and the helmet looks down towards the palm of the left gauntlet as if studying it.

Aneh bites her lower lip as Ror falls silent. She watches your movements and her curiosity overtakes her. She tugs at Ror and inches towards the ruined doorway, through which you can be seen on the cracked table. 'I have to talk to... him... her...
Aneh says 'I think him...'

Ror stays put, studying the suit safely from a distance. 'Whatever the case, it just wrecked my laboratory. I would prefer keeping our distance...'

Aneh frowns a bit and looks back to Ror, murmering softly, 'I understand your caution, but no child is left alone when they are first born... It isn't right...'

Ror chuckles, 'It doesn't have the proportions of a child. So if it hurts you by accident, it's not going to be nice.'

Daq looks up as the arm goes down and stares (no eyes, so automatically staring) at the open doorway with the two people in it.

Aneh smiles a bit at the comment from Ror. Her breath catches a bit as you looks their way 'One way to find out,' she murmers and moves slowly towards you.

Ror moves quickly and overtakes Aneh, so at least he is front of her in case something goes wrong, he mutters under his breath.

Aneh keeps her eyes on you, even as ROr steps in front of her. She puts a reassuring hand on Ror's sleeve as she moves just a bit closer, but far enough away just in case. She speaks to you, 'Can you understand me?'
Aneh looks up to Ror, a bit of a frown settled around her features. 'I didn't even think of a communication problem.'

Ror whispers, 'Life is full of surprises. That said, notice how he watches us and not the guards still beyond the door opening....'

Aneh nods her head a bit, glancing back at the guards, and again towards you. 'So I see... Why do you think?'

Ror moves away from Aneh to the other side of the table and the head of DAQ moves with Ror's movement, but not so far as to lose track of where Aneh is.

Aneh tilts her head a bit, watching your curious movements in silence.

Ror stops and says, 'Maybe it can't talk or can't talk yet, but we do have contact with it. It sees us. Otherwise it wouldn't move its head to follow my movement.' Ror moves back to Aneh and the helmet moves to follow Ror.

Aneh nods her head in agreement and considers for a moment. She holds a hand out to you, palm up, and moves forward towards him slowly, watching for any signs of agression. 'I wonder if he understands what happened...'

Daq reaches out with its hand towards what approaches him.

Aneh looks down at the hand that reaches out and moves closer, allowing her fingers to touch the metal of the armor as she watches you to see his reaction at physical contact.

Daq watches the thing touch its arm and mimics the behaviour by prodding into Aneh's chest with the metal fingers

Aneh winces a bit as her chest is prodded, taking a step back. She chuckles and rubs at the spot. 'Well he'll have to learn how strong he is, that's for sure...' Aneh looks back to Ror curiously.

Ror chuckles, then quiets as the helmet moves to follow Aneh's look.

Aneh smiles at Ror for a moment, delighting in the possibilities and the success of the whole thing. She then gets a sad look on her face and looks back at you. 'We lost a good lich in the process. A life for a life, I suppose...'

Ror raises an eyebrow and asks, 'Oh? What happened?'

Aneh looks around the debris on the floor and walks over to a piece of metal with the Tripower sign. She picks it up and brushes it off, bringing it back over to you as she answers.
Aneh says 'I'm not sure.. Everything built up and then it started working, and there was so much magic and it was draining power from everywhere... And the lich... was there...'

Ror frowns and ponders at this. 'Hm.'

Aneh shows the piece of metal to you and places it over her own chest, as if in explanation of what it is. She raises a brow to you and moves the metal piece closer to him, seeing how he will react. 'I should have been more careful. This whole process I should have been more careful.' Aneh falls silent.

Daq reaches out to the metal piece, then touches its own chest. The fingers resting on the Tripower symbol.

Aneh gives a soft smile at the motion and nods her head. She places the metal piece aside and murmers, 'You are one of us, even if you don't understand us yet...'

Daq goes with its fingers across the symbol while Ror quietly watches.

Aneh turns to Ror and tilts her head to the side. In such a sweet voice that it is obvious to see she wants something, she asks 'So dear... Where will he stay and who will teach him?'
Aneh flutters her eyelashes and smiles sweetly.

Ror crosses his arms. 'He can stay here under surveillance until he learns to talk. No teaching without surveillance. This is not a baby, nor a pet. I don't want you to end up drained like that lich you told me of.'

Aneh rolled her eyes dramatically as she looks back to you. She waggles her brows conspiritally at the metalic being and leans towards him. 'You'll have to learn to talk fast so we can get you out of here.'

Daq simply stares at Aneh in return without movement.

Ror says, 'Can it walk?'

Aneh ponders that question for a moment and laughs. 'Yes. Now the question is... Is the knowledge of HOW there... That I'm not sure about. Let's find out!'
Aneh captures your attention and points down to her leg, rotating the foot a bit, and then bending it at the knee. She then points to your leg and waits to see what he will do.

Daq stares at Aneh, then mimics the movement on the lab table

Aneh nods her head to herself and then points to your feet, and then to the floor. She taps first one foot on the floor and then the other, and motions for you to try it. Though way to heavy for her to be much help, she moves to help him swing his legs off the edge.

Daq observes Aneh for a while and then moves a leg to the side of the table, planting it firmly on the floor next to Aneh's feet. A small depression is made in the cracked floor as weight shifts and the second foot is placed on the floor. Daq now sits on the edge of the table.

Aneh feels the incredible power held within the being beside her and feels a trickle of fear and respect at the same time. She shakes it off and moves in front of you walks back and forth in front of him, in exagerated movements of all the joints.

Daq watches Aneh and remains put

Ror is watching Aneh as well, with an amused look on his face.

Aneh frowns and stops her silly movements, thinking of what to do. She finds a chair among the debris that isn't
smashed to pieces and sits it about 10 feet in front of you, placing herself in it. Deciding basics are best, she stands up from the chair,

Daq watches Aneh and eventually stands up.
Daq is quite tall now that he's standing... and broad...

Aneh looks you over as he stands, marveling at the size. She remembers the task at hand and, keeping that 10 foot distance in case he should fall, Aneh lifts one leg and bends it at the knee, doing this several times. She then watches you and waits, ant
Aneh anticipates a destroyed floor.

Daq mimics Aneh stamping on the floor

Aneh nods her head and moves on to the next step, turning to the side she lifts one knee, placing that foot ahead of her body, and then picks up the other foot, placing that in front of the first, taking a few slow steps before waiting on you to try.
Aneh says 'It would be amusing if he understood the concept and I was doing this for nothing....'

Daq mimics Aneh and places one foot before the other, then moves the other leg and sinks through the first knee, crashing down into the floor

Aneh gasps and starts moving towards you, then remembers how heavy he is. She stops short and murmers, 'This will take a bit longer I suppose. Maybe we should get this room cleaned up and call it his room for now until we can get some more progress?

Ror chuckles, 'Oh, so now it's ok to let him lie there on the floor?'

Aneh shakes her head in defeat and looks back to the guards at the door. 'Got about five really strong recruits?'

Daq lifts its arm up and rams it into the ground, followed by the other, then slowly pushes itself off the floor. The legs shift as knees are used.
Daq gradually puts a foot down under its body, then stands up again. Electricity crackling around the knees as stability is created.
Daq stands

Ror says, 'Yes, but by the looks of it, I think he can handle it himself. He seems determined.'

Aneh shudders at the force you uses and watches him get up. She smiles her proud mama smile as he makes it up and beams towards Ror. 'Good, determination is definately a plus.'

Daq turns and bits of floor fall off him. He plants a foot before him, then leans in clearly testing the weight before moving the other. Well... stamps the other a bit further into the floor.

Aneh laughs as she watches, feeling the floor shake as it is destroyed. 'I hope you know a good repair man, it looks like we are going to need it. He's got it though.'

Ror smiles, 'Good. We'll move him to a part of the laboratory that's better furnished, then?'

Aneh nods her head in response and moves to stand beside Ror, watching you. 'Yes I would feel better. And I'll get a crew in here to clean this mess up too.'

Ror nods.
