Invitation

One starry evening, as you lay on your bedroll, an owl flies swiftly overhead, dropping a scroll. If you should choose to pull it from its scroll casing, you would read the message: Those Who Harp have taken an interest in your activities. If it interests you, we would like to offer you the chance to join our ranks as a probationary member. We do not make this offer lightly. The Way of The Harp is difficult, and not always clear. Should you opt to accept this opportunity, you can find us at your local inn. May the moon light your path, Wanderer. -Finder The scroll casing is made of ivory, and etched with the symbol of a silver harp and moon.

Jihad - The Call Part 2

"As soon as I noticed the evil intentions Ao had, I decided I couldn't let him just go ahead. I tried to defeat him and with that restore and maintain the Balance of good and evil in the Great Realms. But as you are about to see now, I lost." Ao lifted his arms and a enormous lightningbolt of unknown power shaped above his head. With a powerful swing, Ao tossed it towards the Apprentice. The Explosion that followed up was of such power, it made everything tremble and took my sight on the situation for several minutes. After a few minutes I regained my sight and saw the Apprentice floating uncontrolled above the Realms. With his last remaining life-force he lifted himself and managed to cast a very powerful spell on RaGnaRoK; A white bolt was being thrown in our direction, rapidly enclosing. And it hit RaGnaRoK, the meteorite obtained a white glow for a little while. "With my last bit of strength in me I casted a very powerful spell on RaGnaRoK" the Apprentice said. "Within the RoK I live on since if it will ever hit the Great Realms, I will be revived. Therefore the prophecy must be executed. RaGnaRoK must fall!" "But that would destroy the entire Realms! That would destroy me as well!" I said. "No it won't" the Apprentice said. "When RaGnaRoK falls, I will be revived. I will then recreate the realms and restore the Balance. And the ones who are faithful to me will be Reborn. But therefore when I am revived, I will have to defeat Ao first once and for all." I was very amazed and he continued: "Ao has sent RaGnaRoK several times already to make me revive and defeat me. All his actions failed since RaGnaRoK was stopped by powerful factions like the Tripower Empire. What Ao doesn't know is that I am gonna kill him instead.""So RaGnaRoK is gonna fall, you are gonna defeat Ao, but what has that got to do with me?" I asked. "There are a lot of people who know how to avoid the RoK from hitting the Realms. The powerful cannon named Stalin's Organ has already been built to destroy RaGnaRoK time after time. I need faithful followers to help me. Opponents of the RoK should be eliminated in order for the RoK to fall. They should either be convinced to join in my battle against Ao, or be killed if they tend to defend the Realms from the fall of RaGnaRoK. You, Warrior, and a select few others, I need you to lead my forcer and ensure my return! The evil Ao must be destroyed since he is a great danger to all existence. Are you prepared to accept this most holy task? Let all the unbelievers be convinced and slay all the sinners who are past redemption?" Without a single moment of doubt I agreed and said: "You showed me Ao should be slain. I believe what you said, The ones who oppose RaGnaRoK will be slain by my mighty blades. I will form an army and I will make sure the Prophecy will occur!" " Good," said the Apprentice, "Now give me your swords." As I handed my blades over to him, the Apprentice uttered some words. As I wielded them again I felt a new refreshing power flow through my veins. " Now they have been forged with the power of the Apprentice," the Apprentice said. And as he uttered some words again, I felt a fierce pain in my wrists. When the pain went away, I found my fists heavily armoured and my hands very powerful. "That is all I can do for you in my current state," the Apprentice said. Before I were able to thank him for my enhanced strength and power, everything turned black again. A few moments later, I woke up in the very crowded Healing Wound Inn, with as only reminder of my midnight trip, A strong faith in my new found God, two powerful blades, and these awesome pieces of wrist-armor. With only one sole goal: Form an army and eliminate all that can prevent the RoK from falling. the Apprentice will return!!

Jihad - The Call

It were late in the evening as I arrived at the Healing Wound Inn in Westbridge, after a rough day. I fell down in the Jacuzzi, and tired as hell I almost immediately fell asleep. It was then when I heard a voice. I opened my eyes and saw a bright light. My eyes, which just got used to the dark, were blinded by it for a while. And then I heard the voice again, this time more clear: "Come to me, warrior, for I must show you something." I rubbed my eyes again and again, and slowly my vision returned. Slowly, the shape of a large man appeared before my eyes. On first sight he looked quite ordinary, but as I examined him more closely, I noticed he wasn't standing on the ground. He was floating about one meter above the Jacuzzi, and a bright shining aura surrounded him. Wondering why nothing made a sound in the always crowded Inn, I looked around, and noticed there was nobody but me and the strange man. Curious as I were, I walked towards him to obtain a better look at his face. His eyes were shining with a bright light, piercing through me as if he was reading what I thought. I shuddered a little as I realised what a powerful man was standing in front of me, as he spoke to me again: " Give me a hand if you want me to show you." " Show me what?" was I gonna ask, but something forced me to lift my arm and give him a hand. Suddenly, everything turned black. Now it were just me and him floating in some sort of dark void. Nothing to see but him and me. " Who are you?" I asked. On which he answered: " You shall know me as the Apprentice." As sudden as it all became dark, we were floating above the Great Realms. On such an altitude I could see Westbridge and New Thalos in one view. The man who called himself the Apprentice lifted his arm as he pointed towards a point in the distance. "Do you see that man?" he asked, and I stared far in the distance to see anything. And there I saw him, a young man. But as I stared and stared to recognise him, I saw a second man as well. "Who is it?" I asked, "And who is the other man I see there?""The young man is me, a long time ago." said the Apprentice. "The other man is Ao, my former master and teacher when I created the Great Realms." "You created the Great Realms?", I said with unbelief in my voice. "You've still got a lot to learn Warrior," the Apprentice spoke. "Ao is an elder god with enormous power." As I poked myself to be sure I were awake, we suddenly were not floating in a void anymore. We were standing on a huge Rock. " This", said the Apprentice as I looked around me, "This is what you are calling RaGnaRoK." I gasped as I noticed where I was standing on, and the Apprentice continued: "RaGnaRoK doesn't come from nowhere nor without reason. I created it to be send at and destroy, All beings, all life, everything in the Great Realms if times would come in which evil would overrun good." "Evil overrun good?" I asked, "Why are you showing me this?" "Be patient warrior, be patient.", the Apprentice said, as he nodded in the direction of the two men in the distance who clearly were fighting. They were so far away from us that I could barely see them with my farsight, But I could feel their power all the way overhere. Huge blasts of tremendous power took our sight over and over again. Each time their power seemed to be greater and greater. "What the hell are they doing?" I asked, "Do they intend to blow up the entire Realms?"

Journies

It was a night just like any other when I lay myself down for a nice quiet night's sleep. As I woke up in the morning I was not in the place that I had settled down for bed, being a Wizard I am used to the unusual, but this was odd even for me.The room I found myself in when I awoke was a damp one and not entirely comfortable, and I had the sense that I had been in some way changed by one of the Lords or Ladies of the lands It took me a bit to wake up enough to realize in what way I had been changed, I am not a morning person I must admit and am quite slow on the uptake in the morning. I decided to find my way to my office to review the notes on my desk to see if I had missed something important in one of them, and sealed with a Golden crest I saw a note from The Harper's immortal leader.I won't go into the detail of the contents of the note I found on my desk, but it will suffice to say that he wanted to clear the dead wood out of the clan by removing the current leadership, explaining my unexpected awakening. This next part is a bit of a stretch for those of you that may not know the intricacies of the Harpers but I must preface it by saying that we have always been a democracy. This letter from the immortal member of the clan stated that he was planning on changing all that I had worked so hard to bring the clan to, so I packed my bags and left. I do not know where to go from here, and I do wish my Family the best, but for now I must wander the realms alone in search of something I may never find. Jovik - The Loner Harper Recruiter

A new story .. Pt 3

My return was somewhat less spectacular. I returned to a small grove of cherry blossom trees under a beautiful night sky that I had all but forgotten. Although returned I had been changed. My demonic encounter had changed my form and structure I was a Vampire. Although made of dead ungrowing flesh, I still continued developing, my body seeking to return to its origional state before my demise. I was 21 when I died, and as such am sure I still have some developing to do. I am Seraphim Shadoween. I Exist. And this is my story... Seraphim Shadoween.

A new story .. Pt 2

Although I wont go into detail in this memoir I will say this about him Solomon is a Demon Essence, of the purest Malificence. He has plagued my life and the life of my father, sister Zariel, and the lives of all we hold dear. It is his hand that held the blade that ended my mortal life, and began my exile into the darkness. About 5 years ago my father and I disappeared from this realm for a long time almost 3 full years. I went to battle Solomon, and win from him my sisters freedom from his torture. My father went to stop me. He told me it was too dangerous and that we could not hope to win. Coward. The truth is I knew I couldn't win, but how could I sit by and watch him destroy all I loved. The battle was long, but one sided. The demon was more than I could have imagined and it was only my exceptional speed that allowed me to survive as long as I did. In the end however it made no difference. In the end I lay dead. My father returned to the realms after returning Solomon to his prison and brought with him the news of my death. The world here had changed... loved ones disappearing, or changing... places and names different... and most notably my beloved Valkyrie's departure for the divine realm.

A new Story..Pt 1

Every life has a story... and every story... a beginning. This is mine. My name, is Seraphim Shadoween. I am the son of a god. I wont go into the dark story that is my past or the unique events that conspired to create me. What I will tell you is that I am not what you would expect. I am an Esper. Filled with magical powers I didn't ask for and don't understand. I am a Vampire. A dead thing, walking the night and feeding on the blood of the living. I am both of these things, yet these are but words. They aren't WHO I am they don't say anything about ME. I am not a heartless killer, or an insane tyrant, or a valiant knight, or a noble Saint. I am none of these things yet the element of them all are in me, as with in all creatures. I live by my choices. A very long time ago I forbade my father from interfering in my life. His actions are known well to those who watch such happenings, and to those who don't? Be thankful. I see my father, Lord Sylus Shadoween, as the worlds greatest let down and failure. The man has led a life of suffering and pain. But instead of suffering alone as he should have, he drags all he loves into it and shares with them this pain. Many people out there disagree with me, but this isn't their story... My life origionally was very happy. I knew the love of the Goddess Hanali, and worshipped her freely and happily. I was engaged to a lovely Angel warrior and my skills as a warrior were, in my opinion, exemplary. But this all came to a crashing halt thanks to one man. Solomon.
