Faction name: Keepers of Balance
Faction type: Clan
Status: Active
Alignment: Neutral
Patron: Sune
From the burning ashes of chaos, life must prevail, endure, and renew. Toril, left to its own ends by the absence of the Gods, has found itself deeply at odds. Crusaders for right war on one side - pushing for good at any cost, while Death rampages on the other - willing to go to any means for suffering and torment. Governments have banded together in opposition of one another, and many without affiliation are left in the ruins. Political ambitions and extreme polarization has filled the vacuum left in the wake of the Black Churchs war on the world. Until now.
The Keepers of Balance are a group of individuals seeking to counter the extreme polarization of the world through balance. The chasm left when opposing forces move apart so violently always leaves a void of disarray in its wake. Balance is the understanding that while each and every position has an opposing side, each side is necessary in order to define the other. Good would not exist without evil, nor evil without good; tolerance is required to evoke this depth of understanding.
Members have the freedom to pursue any focus within the clan - be it balance between magic and technology, balance between good and evil, balance between riches and poverty, balance between knowledge and ignorance - as long as there is an imbalance in the world of any kind, our members can seek to correct it. Those committed to filling the space between polarities and espousing the ideals of tolerance are welcomed into our halls.
Through the spreading of balance and tolerance, we seek to end the age of chaos that has gripped Toril. Though balance and tolerance, we strive to bring into order to what is in disarray. Through balance is the truth, and through truth, balance.

The Tome of the Circle of the Attuned
Circle of the Attuned
Within the Keepers we have three sects each covering certain aspects of life that need to be watched. The mind, the physical, and the arcane. We, the Circle of the Attuned, monitor and correct imbalances in the arcane aspects of life.
Those of the circle are comprised of wizards, priests, and sages, though we accept all who wish to assist in our watching as all skills are important when watching those who would abuse the weave or their divine powers.
Part of watching balance with the arcane is keeping records of past mistakes. Events like the destruction of Cormanthor at the hands of the demons may have been prevented had the correct knowledge existed at the time. It is our job to watch for signs that magics are in the works that could cause similar destruction.
We of the circle also rely heavily upon the Sphere of the Mind and the Order of the Sword in our work. The Sphere are the record keepers of the realms, they collect intelligence and document it in the libraries of the Keepers. The Order of the Sword is the strong arm of the Keepers. They are the enforcers of the will of the clan, acting on imbalances when necessary.
This structure is very similar to that of the Rilmani who have been our partners in this undertaking. The jobs within the Rilmani are separated according to the different types of Rilmani in their social structure. The difference lying in that all sects within the Keepers are equal with none above the other, thus as we watch the world, so do we watch each other.

The Ruins of Tru
Westbridge, trading hub and recently liberated city from the Vectorians, was at the forefront of Ror's mind today. The people in this city needed its spirit uplifted. And to do so, he had proposed a theatre and school be build. And so Ror found himself in the library of the TriPower Kingdom with the map of Westbridge in front of him. He needed to find a location for the buildings in the city and it was quite a hassle. Leaning back in his chair, Ror contemplated the situation at hand.
It all boiled down to the same thing, didn't it? There was probably not enough space and something might have to go. But what? And if you were going to take down one thing... well there was a whole list of things that one could wish for to be improved. You could send children to school but with the gangs in the south of the city, that was easier said than done. Besides, with people beaten into poverty who could miss an extra pair of hard-working hands? Finding teachers is relatively easy. Helping people send their kids to school? Very problematic. And for the theatre, to stimulate culture in town, you need people to be able to pay their tickets. In short, this place needed jobs that paid well. In other words, economic growth that allowed the common man to rise above his current standing and send his child to school.
He scratched the side of his face and muttered under his breath about the complexity of the problem. He needed to talk to some Keepers of Balance leaders that would hopefully tell him he not to draw this out bigger than it needed to be. But what if they would agree with him? The sheer time it would then take... and keep him away from his books.... He leaned forward. What a scary prospect.
Shaking his head, he rolled up the map and put it away. It was too soon to think about that, he told himself. Best to put it aside. After all, Sanria had said that the other leaders would take over from her and chat with him about it and that hadn't happened at all. So there was still plenty of time. And Ror was determined to use that time well.
In fact, today he would meet up with a Radiant Heart leader, Psycho, and they would discuss matters on Westbridge on Ror's request. He wanted to visit the Ruins of Tru to check out the Theatre there as Sanria had suggested. But the place could be dangerous and so he needed a little help. Getting up from his chair, and putting his coat back on, he wondered if that theatre would be similar to the one in Daggerford or not. It probably was, otherwise she wouldn't have suggested it, would she?
Ror smirked, before fastening the top button of his uniform and exiting the library.

Location, location, location
Sitting at the Park Cafe, Ror sipped his latte. The drink was turning cold while Ror took small sips. He was not focussed on his drink, but on the words of Psycho. Ror's thoughts mulled over the ideas and promises and very soon concluded that the Radiant Heart were not just backing him up in the idea, they were giving him a carte blanche. They put trust in him on this. Which was nice of course, but didn't make things easier. For one, Psycho only mentioned the school. So it was unclear whether he supported the rest. Then again a school was better than nothing. He would need a location though. But Ror knew that was just the start. After the location picking there was the building and of course the teaching and rallying of children and grown-ups to actually come to the school and learn. Because education was important. No matter who you were or what you'd do later in life, education would help you build your self-esteem and strengthen your resolve in the world around you. It made you less gullible and less stupid. Where do I start? thought Ror. He drained his cup and placed it down on the table, closing his book with the other hand. No more reading for today. It was time to visit that floating island and ask for a reply from the Keeper's side. They were the only ones left to respond, and hopefully they would have some further ideas as well.

Westbridge Aftermath - Ror's Letter
Dear leaders of the Radiant Heart and Keepers of Balance,
My personal thanks for the liberation of Westbridge. It was - with lack of better words - complex for the treaty bound TriPower. I am quite joyed that I can once more walk through Westbridge at peace.
Unfortunately, when I look around I still see the damage done in the faces of the men and women of Westbridge. And this is something that grieves me.
I was wondering whether there were any plans to open a school and university for the return of education to the city? It would do the young children good. And additionally for those without family, of course a new orphanage. Or what about a theatre so culture and joy may once again bloom in Westbridge?
Now that the Vectorians are gone, I feel many institutions are needed to once more uplift the spirits of the people of Westbridge.
Patiently awaiting your answer.
