Tripower Kingdom

OOC information
  • Requirements to join:
    • You are second tier and an active roleplayer with basic RP campaign knowledge.
    • You have no alts in Vector. Other clans are fine, but none in Vector.
    • You are not an ass on OOC, not an eq-mule, nor an elitist snob.
    • To start application procedure, write a roleplay-styled letter (note) to "tripower". (This also goes for alts of tripower members)

  • Tripower philosophy:
    • A clan is for life, so choose wisely.
    • For King and Kingdom: all for one, and one for all.
    • Loyalty is paramount. Clan info is to be kept inside the clan. (note: Sharing such info is penalized with eviction and noclan.)
    • No internal drama. Problems? Note leaders and patron Imm. Keep it off the channels.

  • Leaving the Tripower:
    • Should roleplay lead to other roads: remember that there is no easy escape. You must RP your way out. Should your character survive, you will wear the Traitor mark and be noclanned for one real life month, destined to walk the lands alone.

Letter of Intent

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter to show my deep interest in officially joining the forces of The Tripower. My name is Aneh Rhedginsa and perhaps as of right now I am no one of real note. I have a troubled past, much of which I do not remember. I will not bore you with details that are unimportant, but I will say this: I am ready to serve the Tripower in any way that I can. I am loyal to the Tripower and will remain so, doing everything in my power to accomplish any assignment or mission that is given to me should I be accepted among your ranks.

I would very much like to be involved in the field of research for the Tripower and while I have little documented experience, I know that should I be given half a chance to prove myself, you will not be disappointed. Please allow me to prove myself to be the valuable asset that I know I can be.

Thinking by the Waterfall

Aneh sat on the flat rocks near the waterfall, letting the sound of the crashing water flow over her as she thought. She was making some pretty big steps in her new life. Soon she would be married to a man who had not only freed her from her past but who she was sure would support her in becoming her own woman. The thought brought a smile to her face as she stared into the water.

Another, perhaps equally as important decision was the decision to join the Tripower. They were structure. They were a sense of pride. They  were a cause she  could easily be proud  to fight  and work for. They could offer her so many things that she never had in her life. So many things she so desperately wanted. But what could she do for them? She knew she could do amazing things, and she was determined to show them.

Aneh slid into the water and swam away from the waterfall, headed towards the beach. She had some writing to do, and her husband to be couldn't help her on this. This had to come from her, she knew. If she was to be her own person, it truly had to come from her and her alone.

Legacy V

Further up a terraced hill was a Victorian styled mansion, and under the cover of the night a figure walked over the black stone pavement to the entrance. On the way he passed a fountain, shaped like a dragon, but it had stopped gurgling water a while ago. Reaching the door, he simply stepped through. Pass door has its uses, thought Ror as he looked up from under his hood to the glorious, marble entry hall. Very fancy, he thought and he stepped on the soft rug, muffling his footsteps. Passing an extinct fireplace, he practically glided through the hallways of the mansion, unseen and quiet, until he found a door with on it "Authorized Personell Only".  Ror stopped, sensing the air around him, then decided to go up the spiral staircase instead. He wandered around the mansion, inspecting  rooms one by one. Eventually, he went up into a tower that had an interesting number of chambers, each one more magically impressive than the other. And at last, at the top of the tower, Ror found what he had been looking for: a devastated workroom; Throm's devastated workroom.

Having read Throm's notes for days, the research logs, and every scrap of information he could find in the Tripower Archive, he had a pretty good idea of what happened here. He kneeled and picked up a crystal from the floor with his black leather gloved hand. He pocketed it safely away, before sampling some of the mist with an empty test tube. Ror had made it a habit to carry a few empty ones with him.

He stood up, then magically disappeared, returning to the Tripower.

Legacy IV

The feather swiftly ran over the paper as Ror wrote his report. Dipping it into ink every now and then, he kept a steady pace with little to no staining. A blue-white crystal was lying on a pile of paper in front of him. He was using it as a paperweight... And drawing its shape onto the paper as part of the report. After half a hour of writing, he laid down the feather and let the last of the ink dry. His hand moved over to the crystal and touched it. 'How fares the test?' asked Ror by thought, and the voice of one of his assistants told him in his head that it went well. He nodded to himself and let go of the crystal. And turned the page, blowing a bit against the paper to dry the last of the ink. He then picked up the feather again and resumed his writing, outlining the test-phase. By the time he had reached the bottom of the paper, another half hour had passed.  He placed the feather back in the ink well and waited a bit before filing the report. He tucked it under his arm and pocketed the crystal before walking out of his office. Down the hallway, he opened the door to Zeltor's office and placed the report on his desk, before walking back to the hangar.

In the hangar his assistants were testing the properties and spellstrength of the other crystal. As Ror approached, he took the crystal from his pocket and then placed it in the slot across the other. 'Still everything faring well?' A curt nod answered his question and Ror smiled.  He opened his uniform and removed a folded paper sheet from a pocket, handing it over to the nearest assistant. 'Infuse this spell in the both of them,' he said, 'I will be at the archive. If anything is amiss, let me know.' He then turned and walked away. The assistant that had received the paper unfolded it and read the spell, his eyes enlarging, 'Damn!' This caught the attention of the other, who looked up from his work and turned his head to see, 'A protective spell? Oh, nasty!' The first sighed, 'Safety for everything I guess. Alright, let's get to work.'

With a click the magical lock of the door to the archive unlocked and a second later Ror swooped into the room otherwise occupied by dust and cabinets, closing the door behind him. He snapped his fingers and placed an instantly created ball of light on a cabinet top, before turning his attention to the cabinets themselves. He opened a cabinet drawer and scanned the labels. Closing the drawer again, he opened another drawer and scanned labels once again. He frowned, then picked a file from the cabinet. It said, "RESTRICTION LEVEL 1" on the cover. Ror opened it and leaned against one of the cabinets as his eyes scanned the contents.

'My, my, Throm, I guess rumours were right after all,' said Ror to himself and he smirked broadly,

'You DID experiment with black makou...'

Legacy III

Taking a bite from the sandwich in his hand, Ror tapped the scroll in front of him on the table. The assistant sitting on the left of him was munching on a sandwich as well and nodded at Ror. A large table had been placed next to the magic circle. Ror and his assistants were having lunch and discussing the next step at the same time. The original spells from the journal had been copied over so the assistants each had their own version to study during lunch. The discussion regularly switched to cover other topics, all relating to the work that waited for them. In that regard, the scrolls were a great help. All Ror had to do, was ensure the discussion didn't derail. After a hour or two, the food was gone and most of the discussion had dried up. Ror clapped his hands and stood up, 'Alright people, let's get back to work. You know what to do.' He collected the copies from his assistants and counted them to make sure he had them all. In the meantime the liches had returned and carried the table and chairs away from the circle, while the assistants took up their position and talked through the final details.

This was it then, thought Ror as he returned to his platform. He adjusted his goggles, shoving them back down before his eyes with one hand, the other holding the scrolls. A curt nod to the signalling lich downstairs set the second leg in motion.

They weaved the spells in unisome. As Ror watched, an empowering spell and a spell to complete the motion of telepathy took shape within the circle around the two blue-white crystals created earlier. They were on display in individual holders, side by side. As the Weave was pulled around the crystals, power was instilled in them and a soft blue glow sunk down into them. On the foreheads of the mages drops of sweat started to form as a new spell was weaved: detection of thoughts. Their hand gestures were like a dance that build up magic and pulled the Weave with it. Combining it with another empower spell, the crystals glowed softly once again. As the fine tuning started, his assistants were visibly starting to tire. Fortunately the liches paid attention and replenished their mana. With renewed strength they carried on. They tweaked the weave around the crystals: plucking here and pushing there, they severed and retied certain threads. Until eventually the desired result was reached and they were done.

Shoving the goggles back up with the back of his hand, Ror watched the softly glowing crystals at the center of the magical circle from above. He smirked, 'Alright, well done people! Time for a rest, and then a test...'

Legacy II

Ror crossed his arms, a pair of goggles with darkened glasses on his face. From the first floor platform above the hangar he watched his assistants. A few hours earlier he had woken them up at the first rays of dawn and given them the instructions for a magical circle. By now they had drawn it on the floor of the hangar and Ror had just returned from breakfast with his fiancee. He watched them round off the last of the preparations. Wizards spent their entire lives, or even undead afterlives, to hog knowledge. It allowed them to accomplishing great feats of magic. But Ror was no wizard, he was a sage. And as he watched his assistants, he smirked.

At the edge of the circle large metal plates were raised, shielding off the liches standing behind them. If this was going to drain his wizardry helpers, then the Tripower's undead would feed them the energy they needed to stay alive. At the center of the magic circle was a container with four crystals in it. Two large growing green crystals, makou, the other two similar sized sapphires. All had been placed into a separate holder, makou across sapphire and placed inside the container. Ror signalled to start and the assistants took position in front of the plates, inside the circle. One by one they started spellcasting. Ror watched them move their arms and let the magic flow from one to the other by the help of the magic circle.

When they were synchronized, he signaled for them to start weaving the spell. Spidery words of magic came from their mouths in unisome and filled the air around the container. A harsh light flashed from the four objects inside the container, blinding to the naked eye, but Ror and his assistants wore goggles and the liches stood safely behind protective metal plates. Not a drop of sweat was made as the mages forcefully wove the four crystals together, then split them into two. The brilliant forms merged into two round balls, then quite suddenly spiked outward. Two identical, sharply pointed crystals took shape and when the light faded, Ror removed his goggles and asked, 'And?'

One of the liches stepped from behind the plates and walked over to the container. Opening it, the blue-white crystals inside could be seen. He took them out and fetched a magnifying device from his pocket, studying the both of them. Then, as he put the device away again, he stuck up his thumb to signal success. Ror smiled broadly. The first leg was complete, his assistants were alright, now for the next...

Legacy I

It was past midnight, and a couple of hours away from dawn. In the laboratory of the Tripower, Ror was working. His assistants had gone to bed hours ago, but he was still busy. On the table were a various assortment of crystals. They were selected on colour and quality.  Some were left in their natural state, others had been fractured and polished by a dwarf master craftsman from Torregiano. Wearing soft gloves and an eyepatch with a magnifying glass in it, Ror handled the crystals with great delicacy. On the table were two books. One spellbook, the other a copy of an old scientific journal. Its yellowing pages were a bit damaged, but otherwise in a good state. And more importantly, it was readable. Ror had retrieved the journal from the research archive, previously placed under Throm's authority. Now that Ror was a leader of the Tripower, the secrets of the research archive previously kept at bay, were now his to read and build upon. Throm was gone, but Ror felt like a fish in the water. He turned a page carefully and read the notes. In the back of his mind, he felt the presence of Aneh, dreaming something about bunnies and weddings. He smiled, turning his concentration back to the work at hand.

"I called the first half of the telepathy spell. Using a small, round sapphire, I placed it on a holder," read Ror. Next to it was scribbled in the sideline: Caution: use large gloves and goggles against harsh waves. He mulled and continued reading, "Next I used a glowing green crystal, which emanates harsh waves that are dangerous to the eyes. The following words I incantated as I forcefully wove the two crystals together."

Ror turned another page and before long he went to work...

Clan rules
  1. ALWAYS make the killing of a Vectorian your first priority. We have no issues with other clans unless they are fighting along Vector. Put your personal feelings aside and RP a Tripower member Vector is ALWAYS to be target number one.
  2. Alts are allowed in other clans as long as you have the maturity to keep it separate. If you have a Vector alt, the Tripower will attack it. If you give away clan secrets and are caught, you are gone.
  3. The Tripower should be your primary clan.
  4. Excessive drama and mean crap on OOC or CGOSSOOC will get you booted. It matters. The tripower is not going to be full of morons on parade.
  5. If you want to leave the clan on your own, a simple RP note to the clan and an explanation to the leaders will be enough. We are not holding you hostage. If we kick you, you will sit in the dungeon for 200 ticks and then you will be free.
  6. Members will be asked to post one RP note a month. Does not have to be long, does not have to be the best thing in the world, but one note a month for a clan based on RP is not too much to ask.
  7. All items for sale are to be offered for sale first to other Tripower members before outsiders, but there are no rules against buying from outsiders and bidding against each other, we understand the want for good equipment.
  8. Tripower togglers are expected to help fellow Tripower togglers get through the gauntlet. This means helping a fellow member out before going on that run or having his back. The Tripower is all about loyalty.
  9. There will be no internal drama. If you have a problem with a fellow member, keep it off channels and note the leaders and Patron Immortal.
  10. Know the history of the Tripower. All the information is on the website. You need to understand the history of the Kingdom before you enter it. There won't be a test but we will know if you are faking it.
  11. Please have a full description and RP configured before you ask to join.
  12. Have fun with it. It is a game after all.

Bits and Pieces II

On the long lab table the retrieved bits and pieces from Kefka's armour were displayed. Ror's lab employees were swarming around the table for their analyses and experiments. The number of researchers on this topic had doubled since he had first revealed the fragments to Alsin. Half of his team now consisted out of dwarves whose metallurgy and smithing knowledge was essential. The rest were experts in magic, analysing the residu for Ror.

Ror entered the lab and passed his two employees working on the crystals he had been given by Sanria. Then he walked to the table  where his other team was working on the Vectorian technology. As he approached, one of the employees looked up and saluted him, "Sir," and then proceeded with what he was doing. This caught the attention of the others. They greeted him as well and one started to talk to him about their current progress.

Ror raised his hand, asking for a moment of silence, and his employee stopped talking.
"You can debrief later, after you've updated your data." He then took a heavy bag from his pack that was filled with more fragments of Kefka's armour. "Courtsey of Alsin, obtained from the black markets and merchants," he handed the bag to the nearest employee who cursed as he made it drop. "Careful, it is heavy," chuckled Ror. "Put the pieces on the other table and start sorting the real ones out from the fake ones. Then start analyzing the real fragments." A grinning dwarven researcher nodded and said, "Aye lad, leave that up to us!"

"I also talked to Psycho of Radiant Heart. We might obtain fragments found by their troops, but don't hold your breath for it."  They nodded.  Clapping his hands, Ror said, "Alright people, back to work." Seeing the enthusiasm of his research team, Ror smiled, then walked over to the table where the other team was working on the crystals.

"Right," said Ror, "tell me our current results."

A calling

Alsin sat in his office going over some old plans and the new plans for the remodeling of his home. There was a huge underground that he was hoping to change in the near future and was feeling rushed to get it done. As he sat there he heard a knock on his front door. Alsin looked over at Juke, his newly hired servant, and nodded to him as if directing him to answer the door. Juke nodded and rushed off to get the door. Within minutes Juke returned with a small Makou lab employee by his side. The employee began to speak. "Mr. Alsin, sir, your presence is requested back at the Tripower Tower by Ror. He requires your assistance on a project of some sort." Alsin nodded and let out a small grunt at the employee acknowledging his statement and then waved his hand to Juke signaling to escort the employee out of his office.

Alsin stood up and looked at the large painting above his desk, "what have you done my friend" he muttered to himself. He looked at the seal upon his cloak that he now bore, the seal of the Tripower Hero. After many minutes Alsin placed the hood of his cloak over his head and began his Journey to the Tripower Tower in search of Ror.

Bits and Pieces

The makou burners were switched off and four lab employees lifted a large package upon the long lab table. They folded back the cloth that wrapped it and revealed the inside to Ror. 'Excellent,' he said. Ror studied the scraps, pieces, flints and large remains of had once been Kefka's armour. 'I'm impressed that you were still able to salvage so much from the site.' One of the employees coughed, then said, 'Well sir, frankly we were lucky to find this. Most of it was gone.'

Ror nodded, picking up a shard of metal with a pair of tweezers and holding it against the light. 'I understand. We can assume that most of the suit was destroyed following the explosion,' Ror paused, 'However, the majority of the remains are not on this table. I'm sure they were cartwheeled off by locals or Radiant Heart troops.' He nudged another employee as he placed the shard back amongst the rest of the remains, and disposed of the tweezers.

'Go find me Alsin, I think I'll need his help on this one. As for the rest of you, commence the analysis of the parts. When you're done, I want a report. Once I've talked to Alsin, I'll try and see if I can contact the Radiant Heart.'

With that Ror walked off to the library, leaving the employees busy in the laboratory.

Westbridge Aftermath - Ror's Letter

Dear leaders of the Radiant Heart and Keepers of Balance,

My personal thanks for the liberation of Westbridge. It was - with lack of better words - complex for the treaty bound TriPower. I am quite joyed that I can once more walk through Westbridge at peace.

Unfortunately, when I look around I still see the damage done in the faces of the men and women of Westbridge. And this is something that grieves me.

I was wondering whether there were any plans to open a school and university for the return of education to the city? It would do the young children good. And additionally for those without family, of course a new orphanage. Or what about a theatre so culture and joy may once again bloom in Westbridge?

Now that the Vectorians are gone, I feel many institutions are needed to once more uplift the spirits of the people of Westbridge.

Patiently awaiting your answer.

Ror Surion

The fall of General Buxbaum (Revelation 3 of 3)

Alsin examined the pet shop only to find that the only exit was where he had entered from. Alsin turned and peered out the window and saw General Buxbaum rushing towards the shop. Alsin shrugged and once again grasped his weapons. General Buxbaum kicked the door open and stepped into the shop his eye locked on Alsin. "There is no where to run, and Lord Kefka is dead. There is nothing to save you now." Alsin looked at the general, "If the Vectorian Lord is dead, there is no reason for us to fight. I'll give you a second chance, sheath your weapon and just let me go."

General Buxbaum grinned at Alsin and then lunged forward to attack. Alsin dodged the attack and was hessitant to fight back. The two fought for several minutes, but it was obvious Alsin was holding back. As the two circled General Buxbaum managed to catch Alsin slightly off guard and his blade caught Alsin on the side of his chest. The wound was slight, merely flesh this time, but enough proof for Alsin that only one of them would walk away from the fight. Alsin began to counter attack and General Buxbaum started to reel. The General had seen many battles but he had never encountered a combantant such as Alsin. Alsin pierced General Buxbaum's leg then sliced his left arm causing him to drop his weapon. Alsin kicked the General to the floor, and stood over him ready to deliver the final blow when out of the corner of his eye he could see a swarm of heroes rushing into the pet shop. Alsin stepped back, worried the mob of heroes would attack him, but to his surprise they began to assault General Buxbaum. Wounded and disarmed the General stood no chance and was killed quickly. His corpse was looted and left laying in a puddle of blood on the ground and the mob of heroes rushed off. Alsin sighed and sheathed his weapons. The walk home for Alsin seemed much longer this time, but his mind was filled with one thought, "Perhaps now, with Lord Kefka dead, there is a possibility of peace if I join the Tripower. Perhaps now is the time to approach Mason Stonehammer."

The Invasion of Westbridge

The reinforcement forces of Vector marched into Kefkaburg, or as Ror preferred it, Westbridge. Fairly quickly a suited Kefka took position on Market Square. The invading forces began their offensive not too long after that to liberate Westbridge once and for all of Vector.

In the streets beyond Market Square, Vectorian and Radiant Heart reinforcement troops were battling it out. The streets turned red and above the sound of  battle the lunatic cackle of Kefka rose each time a life was ended by disintegration, Kefka was in joy, 'You're all dead anyway, better sooner than later, yes?' he cackled.

Ror observed the scene from a distance. Grinding his teeth, he was forced to watch but not to act. He had his orders, sour orders. He knew the official stance of the TriPower and this was not his fight... Stay away Ror.

Watching Kefka's every move and the familiar faces of various clans battle it out. Ror shook his head in disbelieve. He had heard the stories of Kefka's insanity, but even those were mild. Kefka's behaviour seemed unreal. Even the Long Death had more respect for the circle of life and death than this guy.

Waiting and watching was all Ror could do. And as time went by, it became harder to obey his orders. Frowning, he thought back to Alsin's words. That when the time came the leaders would show themselves and lead. This was not the time for thoughtless action. He refused to disobey previous orders, but Ror could not help but notice that he stood there alone.

'I'm a god! I'm all-powerful! Uwee-hee-hee...' yelled Kefka as he cast one gruesome spell after another. How many had died for those powers Kefka so greedily spilled today? wondered Ror.

The more Ror witnessed the more his mask of calm broke down, until eventually only anger fueled by internal rage was left. Ror's knuckles turned white from clenching down on the railing in front of him.

Then Kefka went down.

Ror had seen enough. He let go of the railing, turned and walked away. Behind him the metal railing distorted where his hands had been.

Library

The door of the library opened, and the figure of Ror entered. He quietly closed the door behind his back and walked past the rows of bookcases to his familiar wooden reading table. "Got lost?" inquired the familiar voice of the librarian behind him. Ror turned his head, his hand still resting on the chair before the table, and said, "Something like that."

The librarian chuckled and she studied Ror, her arms crossed, "So you're back, huh?" He cocked his head a bit to one side while giving that thought, then pulled the chair back and sat down. "I never left," he said. "Right. Gotcha." She paused, before asking, "On an entirely different topic, did your friend like his gift?" Ror moved some books from one pile to the next, bringing order to chaos, "Who? Alsin? Yes, he did. Thanks for that by the way." She nodded to herself before walking off, leaving Ror to himself and his books.

The sage motioned with his hand causing the selected book on his table to float up and open. With the minor flicks of his hand, he started to read.

Official Enquiry

Dear Leadership, dear all,

There is a man named Thasmudyan who claims to have been a TriPower general.  I would like to have any official report, information or memories of his time serving the Kingdom.  I am investigating both his claim as his accusations of misconduct by the TriPower.  So the more information you can give me, the better.

Regards,

Ror
1st Class Research Officer

Deathscythe Hell

"Steady, steady," said Ror to himself as the skeleton of the Deathscythe Hell's hull very slowly turned and entered a large silo. They had just flown many miles in the dark, without light and Ror felt weary.

Fortunately the ship was still hardly a ship and besides the seat, everything was just a giant porthole without glass in front.  As the 'ship' glided into the TriPower silo, the large doors behind it were closed and locked.  Landing on the floor, Ror pulled the keys from the ignition and got up from the pilot's chair, keeping his balance on the metal beam before him. "Been a while I did that," he said to the engineer that had been accompanied him and basically stood a small piece of metal plating directly behind the chair.  The man just nodded and replied, "We're taking her down now, sir."  And indeed Ror could feel the downward movement as the platform descended into the deep by one of the largest elevators in the TriPower. "Very well," said Ror, "I'll leave the towing up to you." Ror disembarked and recalled.

He went looking for Astafas to share the news. The skeleton of the hull was there now: pieced together from seven parts ordered at different TriPower builders and outfitted with just a single drive and a single lift engine. The coming years hard work, lots of money and research would compelete the vessel, at least so Ror expected. Nonetheless, the first steps were taken to build a warship never  seen before. One that would hopefully have the upper hand over Vector and would help the TriPower crush it in the future.
